I did a small project where I took faces that were familiar to me in order to see
how accurately I could re-create them from a forward-facing perspective, using as little reference as possible.
I drew myself, a close friend and a celebrity and found that I tended to stylise my own face more than the other two as I see it more often. I realised this was because I wasn’t using the reference as frequently and simply went off of memory creating a less accurate representation.

I gave my best shot at ink Tober in 2019 and kept my favourites from the month, this was a big challenge for me as I sometimes struggle with consistency, however, using ink pens as the only medium let a whole new set of creative ideas come to light, especially when only given a single word prompt.

These threepieces were part of a small project I did in my A levels, I wanted to mix both watercolour and etching together as I thought these were two largely contrasting mediums to work with, they ended up being really powerful as the etching juxtaposed the calming nature of the watercolours making the dark emotions of the characters stand out and seem forceful and terrifying.
